We will only breed on healthy dogs. We follow NKK breeding policy requirements for breeding and farming. All dogs should be health checked by breed requirements. Havanaise eyechecked free and knee checked, Brittany got hip x-ray
Puppies have a separate room, at least the first few weeks. Later they will be in the house like famliemembers. They should be socialized the best of our ability, and get used to children, adults and things happening in the house.
We want all our puppy buyers to think through how they will receive and have time for the puppy and grown up dog.
Dogs don`t enjoy beeing alone several hours a day. They are very closely linked to its owner. If you have a busy life where you are far away and the dog is left much alone, both day and night, so this is not the breeds for you. The dog must also gradually get trained to be alone.
I advise you to take the puppy in puppy classes and socialize your dog with people and other dogs. Iron discipline and physical punishment is rarely good learning. Use a firm but loving upbringing. Positive reinforcement is the way to go: Praise what is good and ignore what is bad. Feel free to use the "clicker training" to learn new tricks. This dog will do the best to make you happy. Remember that the puppy has feelings like us, they can be both sad, upset and frightened.
They will for many years to require daily exercise and mental stimulation that learning of tricks, new experiences, reporting, let them use their nose to sniff up stuff.
Puppies must be picked up at us, we do not ship puppies.
I think it is important to keep in contact with the puppy and the puppy buyers, and will be available for questions and help as best I can. I am grateful for Christmas cards, photos and feedback from our puppy buyers. Our puppies come with life-long "Support".
The puppies will get with a perm or a small book with advice, ideas and tips, and a puppy blanket with familiar smells. They will be registered, vet chekced, with microchip and vaccine.
